Opt-INtelligence is a new network that's quite a bit different from the commonplace banner and pop shops we are used to. It is a network targetted at sites that have registration forms on them. The idea is that after a user fills out a registration form on a website, they are redirected to a page containing "offers" from advertisers. They can checkbox any offer that they wish to opt in to, and upon clicking submit return to their original destination. Think of this as an interstitial at the end of the registration process.
On the website's end, you will need to do some programming to collect all the information submitted by your visitor into a long URL, append to it the address of a destination page, and redirect the visitor to the resulting link. Opt-INtelligence will then look at the available information, and match it up with its pool of offers, displaying only the offers whose requirements are met. It's up to you how much information you pass to them, but the more you give them, the more offers your visitors will be shown, and the higher the payouts of those offers will be. For example, if you only collect an email address, your visitors may see only a couple of low paying offers. Pass a date of birth, and the pool will increase. If you are collecting a lot of information such as the address and phone number, you can expect your visitors to see a lot of well-targeted high-paying offers.
The page with the offers, while hosted by Opt-INtelligence, is custom built to fit your site. In fact, we were allowed to submit our own HTML code to optimize the page for a look consistent with our other pages. You can have as many such pages as you wish - one for every registration form/site that you run. They do ask that you take all banners/skyscrapers and pops out of the offers page not to distract the visitor, but this request seemed very reasonable to us. The offers themselves are listed as paragraphs of text with the advertisers' logos and opt in checkboxes to the side of each one.
Whether or not your visitor checked any boxes, clicking continue will redirect them back to your site - to the URL you have specified. The whole experience is so seamless, most visitors will probably never realize they left your site.
Opt-INtelligence will pay out only if your visitors opt in to an offer - each offer has it's own pay rate. (Note that none of the checkboxes will ever be pre-checked, making it hard to opt in accidentally.) Information on the users that opt in is fed in real time to the advertiser, and is not retained if no opt-ins are made.
One of the best features of this program is it's relative non-intrusiveness. A visitor is served a page that looks like a part of the registration process - and appears only once. While the initial setup will take some programming (we had to spend about 30 minutes modifying our registration PHP code) it requires absolutely no maintenance once configured.
Payouts can range from 50% to 60% of the total offer cost depending on the payment terms you select. (You can chose to wait until 15 days after Opt-INtelligence has been paid by the advertiser, or opt to get part of your money on Net 15 basis. The more you want upfront, the lower your cut will be.) We have chosen to wait to get most of the money, and still received payment in under Net 30 for the first month.
Your actual earnings will greatly depend on the amount of information you collect, and the demographic of the users you collect it from. That said, we have been able to see consistent $10-$15 earnings per 1000 registrations on two different sites, with spikes to as high as $25 per 1000 registrations on a good day. If you are not currently collecting a lot of information, it may be worth it to add a couple of fields (such as Zip code and year of birth) to your reg form, if only to pass them to Opt-INtelligence and then discard them later.
The statistics interface is nothing too special, but does get the job done. It shows you a daily breakdown of the times your offer page was served, the number of opt-ins, earnings, and earnings per 1000 registrations. You can choose to view this information historically - updated once a day, or view a live result for the current day so far. The numbers shown on the statistics reports will be your share of the cut, not the gross amounts. Unfortunately because the advertisers have a chance to "return" bad opt-ins (fake emails, incorrect phone numbers, etc...), your actual earnings will probably end up falling below the numbers shown by the reporting interface.
Overall this is a great program to try because it requires zero maintenance, and has very low intrusiveness. If you run any type of site with a registration form that gets a decent amount of signups a day, this program will work great for you. Even if your registration volume is rather low, you can just let the money slowly trickle in without requiring any additional work.
