The Review:

There's been a bunch of reports of publishers not getting their earnings from Interclick. What's worse - they mostly don't receive any replies to their inquiries. For now - our recommendation is to stay away

The new network from the creators of MiADdle has been around for some time to warrant an expanded review. Initially it came out with four ad formats - interstitials, pop-unders, sliders (simiar to FastClick inVue format, but somewhat larger) and overlay ads - which are attention-grabbing ads that open on top of the website's content and have a "Close" button that enables visitors to close them down.

Since then, Interclick introduced three in-page ad formats: skyscrapers, 300x250 rectangles and your standard leaderboards and banners.

Interclick has a sizable number of advertizer campaigns for each of its ad formats, so filling inventory should not be a problem for most webmasters. They promise a 65% payout from posted rates. The campaigns boast rates in the range of $1-$4 CPM for overlays, $1-$3 for sliders, up to $4 for pop-unders which is pretty standard for the industry, and up to $5 for interstitials.

Rates for standard in-page banner types are from $0.10 to $0.40 CPM for skyscrapers, $0.10 to $0.75 for 300x250 rectangle ads and $0.10 to $0.75 for leaderboard/banner ads.

We don't really know how that translates into real-life CPM because we haven't got an opportunity to give them a proper run on our websites. The posted rates seem on par with Tier 2 ad networks, so we would recommend adopting InterClick as your default network for such Tier 1 ad networks as FastClick or Casale Media.

Interclick's admin interface is clean, informative and easy to navigate. Statistics is grouped by websites enrolled in the account and ad formats; two images that reflect hourly and daily earnings provide graphical representation. Number of impressions, clicks, CTR, eCPM and earnings are available at a glance. All options are grouped by category and available instantly from drop-down menus above the main stats screen. Managing campaigns is easy and flexible. The system also allows you to generate earnings reports for previous months that are quite flexible in options.

We don't really know about Interclick's customer service quality, but while they still used to be MidADdle, it was quite good. OVerall, we think that Interclick is a rather strong player in the field and should be seriously considered by webmasters looking for a solid Tier 2 ad network.

Level of Intimacy: We use their interstitials on a few of our sites and have received a check - no first-hand knowledge of their other ad formats
